On September 5, 2024, an intensely interested audience gathered in the
Gallery at the McLean Project for the Arts to view the movie “Not My Soul”. We were fortunate to have the filmmakers in attendance as well as a Zoom-in with the
actress. The film was captivating and moving, almost beyond description. Viewing it was a visceral experience, as it communicated through image, acting and music, and without words, the feeling of being physically captured, with no control other than the strength of ones’ own mind. A deeply interesting, open and probing conversation followed the viewing, creating an atmosphere of sharing and contemplation amongst the group. It was a very special evening and we are grateful to the filmmakers tackling this difficult and very important subject in this way.
